In the heart of the greater Uwharrie Mountains and Lake Tillery, Montgomery County offers a great home for young professionals, families, and veteran educators. Located in the south-central part of North Carolina, MCS has six elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one learning academy. Montgomery County Schools accepts responsibility for educating its students at the highest levels possible as reflected in our vision and mission statements.
